About Us

The Molly in Knaresborough 2010

About Us

We are a Knaresborough based team of male and female dancers with ages ranging from teens to early sixties. We have a distinctive costume and an exuberant style of dancing. We can be found on most Wednesday evenings practising at the Scout Hall in Knaresborough, although occasionally, on balmy summer evenings, we can be spotted in our distinctive kit dancing at a local hostelry. Following practices and evening dancing we usually end up in a Pub to play a few tunes, other passing musicians are very welcome to join in.
Most of our excursions out in kit fall in the summer months, when we join other morris teams at folk festivals and days of dance, but we do also like to continue the Molly tradition of dancing in the winter. We are a friendly bunch of people from all walks of life, and most of all we like to have fun!
